Do you like tech minecraft or TTD? Does automating fucking everything appeal to you? Do you like sperging out about efficiency and input:output ratios?
LEMME INTRODUCE YOU TO FACTORIO
Factorio is an Early Access (I know I know, bear with me) 2d top down game where you build factories, mines, trains, infrastructure, and defenses for all that shit. You're a single person dropped on an alien planet, and your goal is to make it safe for the rest of the colonists to land by building the very expensive Rocket Defense. Its not that easy though: you also must defend against Biters, the hostile native wildlife. You have guns and turrets and walls and all that fun stuff. They spawn from bases that you must destroy to get Artifacts, used to research and create the most powerful items and technologies in the game.
While it's early access, I can safely say I have gotten far, FAR more than my money's worth playing this fucking crack game.
There are 3 pricing tiers:
TIER ONE: TRANSPORT BELT REPAIR MAN ($16)
Alpha Access
Future Updates
Steam key if the game is greenlit
TIER TWO: FURNACE ATTENDANT ($25.50)
Everything in Tier One, PLUS:
Scenario pack- not neccesary (the meat of the game is in sandbox mode, I only have tier one and I get along fine)
Set of hi-res wallpapers
TIER THREE: MINING DRILL OPERATOR ($45)
Everything in Tier Two, PLUS:
Your name in the game, on a lab or train station
Concept art book
Access to internal graphics wiki
You can buy a lower tier and upgrade later.
DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP (copypasted from the wiki):
Factorio 0.11 (expected in October 2014)
Multiplayer for the brave ones (very raw and very buggy).
New player graphics (3 versions depending on armor and colored depending on the player color)
The first (simple) instance of a tank
Gates
Optimization of the game simulation (mainly transport belts and inserters)
Factorio 0.12
Working Multiplayer.
Proper endgame content.
VRAM saving optimizations
Planned
Oil extension (boiler for oil, oil wagon).
Fight revisit (balancing, tank, more enemies variety, ...)
Proper tech tree.
More circuit logic elements (circuits for electricity, trains, liquids, etc.)
Still not convinced? Why not try the demo!

all you had to say was "circuit logic for liquids" and i'm already a mining drill operator
all you had to say was "circuit logic for liquids" and i'm already a mining drill operator
note that that is on the roadmap, not actually implemented yet
though i think they just opened the modding api for liquids (i havent touched modding yet so not sure)
