I've been playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. That game is amazing, and I'm almost done with it.

I don't like Borderlands 2, I couldn't get into it. My dad and I played co-op all the way through the first one and we were both disappointed with the second.

yeah, the only things borderlands 2 did better than borderlands 1 was setting
and there was an actual story in 2

but all the guns and character skills were handled better in 1 obv

He used to play metal gear solid, and by play I mean run into guards and punch them and wonder why they aren't dying.
Now he hates games.

Total War: Rome II
The campaign map is slow as fuck, but the loading times seem to have improved from Shogun II. Need more patching

My dad and I only play co-op games together. He isn't a big gamer and the only modern game he likes is Skyrim.

the other day we played spelunky and beat the final boss
it was awesome

playing fallout new vegas but I have a mod that makes weapon damage realistic (9mm pistol is still viable at level 20 like in real life and if anyone has a high powered rifle/ magnum pistol/ or gets up close wih a melee weapon you are fucked) so I guess it's not the same/ I'm cheating
but hey at least I'm not using ~ killall

If you mean the landing ships when you say landships then yes, I'm enjoying them. They're great for two sided attacks, and the addition of navy in land battles really adds another layer of depth to the game.

I've recently been playing through all of the Mario RPGs again. I got a friend to lend me Superstar Saga because I never owned it myself, so now I'm trying to juggle that, Thousand Year Door, and Dream Team. Also Sticker Star is a terrible terrible game and I regret having it so badly.
